The original part of this historic building was built in 1914 for the First National Bank of Meade (yellow). In 1929, construction was started on a much larger structure, wrapping around the original on the east and north sides (purple). The result is a 7,000 sq. ft. building containing three commercial rentals on the first floor and apartments and offices on the second floor.
The building is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of highways US54 and K23.  It is a brick structure surrounded by city sidewalk on the west and south, and concrete alley on the north. The roof is flat and was newly coated in 2011, with a SPF system.
The commercial rentals on the first floor are functional and leased at this time. Though the building has been updated over the years, it still retains some of it's vintage charm. Each rental is on separate natural gas and electrical meters.
The second floor contains a large 2-bedroom apartment currently occupied by the owner. (purple) One studio apartment is intact and used as a guest space. Most of this floor is renovated, with a couple of rough areas. The ceilings are 10' high.
