Plains, Kansas - 100 Years
An E-Book on CD

Plains, Kansas - 100 Years is a book published by Joyce Knott at the time of Plainsí Centennial in 1985. The research, writing and assembling of this information was done by Joyce and a dedicated committee of historians from Plains. You will find them all listed on page 3 of the book. The book chronicles the first century of this rural Kansas town... itís people, itís businesses, itís farmers and ranchers. There are many family histories as well as the history of schools, clubs, churches and more.

Since Joyce has sold the last copy of this printed volume, we have obtained permission to sell an E-Book version so that the history may live on. The text is in PDF format and completely searchable. This is very handy when searching a particular family or name... a search will take you to every story that mentions the name, making it a great research tool.

A computer system with a CD drive is required to view this book. The book is in PDF format which may be viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader (R) which can be downloaded free of charge from:
